Nonprofit Gala
Collateral Design, Marketing, Nonprofit
BACKGROUND
CHALLENGE
After receiving a substantial gift from Volkswagen, ADL wanted to show appreciation by honoring the company at an exclusive gala event. The invitation and collateral had to be outstanding.
SOLUTION
To reflect the innovative design esthetics of the company, we developed a clean typographic solution and a minimalist color palette. Paper played a major role in the concept too—a Curious metallic sheet was chosen to give the pieces a modern, sophisticated, and industrial look and feel.
RESULT
An upscale suite of materials that reflected the sensibilities of both Volkswagen and ADL, and left a memorable impression on all who touched the event.
CHALLENGE
Due to an increasing number of fundraising and other events, American Jewish Committee needed a suite of branded communication templates that its internal team could draw upon and customize in short order.
SOLUTION
Working from their existing brand foundation we developed six conceptual and flexible pattern, palette, and type families that were then applied to a variety of invitation, save-the-date, reply card, and journal formats.
RESULT
A branded and proprietary library of materials that the organization’s internal team could quickly turn to for key fundraising and other events.
CHALLENGE
VNH Health (formerly Visiting Nurse Service of New York) reached an important milestone—its 125-year anniversary. In order to express the significance of the event and its service to the community, an outstanding design was needed for its gala materials.
SOLUTION
An illustration depicting nurses from the start of the organization to the current day served as the focal point. An art deco motif (which tied into the gala’s venue) and a classic black and gold color palette further captured the essence of the sophisticated and celebratory event.
RESULT
An upscale and memorable suite of materials that reflected importance of the anniversary and the organization’s mission.
CHALLENGE
Based in Harlem, The Eagle Academy Foundation was excited to elevate the look of its gala materials after confirming Hillary Rodham Clinton as its keynote speaker.
SOLUTION
Working closely with the organization’s event team we developed the theme, “Soaring Beyond.” The colors in the conceptual mark were chosen to reflect the foundation’s diverse student base. The design of the invitation and other materials complimented the mark and featured heart-warming photographs of the children the foundation serves.
RESULT
A suite of warm and inviting event materials that reflected the foundation and left a memorable impression on constituents, sponsors, board members, and attendees.
CHALLENGE
In order to raise more money and reach a wider audience, National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME) wanted to elevate the look and feel of its gala materials.
SOLUTION
Working closely with the organization’s team we developed the theme, “celebrating partnerships.” Black and white photographs of the people the organization supported and a classic black, white, and gold color palette along with a unique die cut captured the essence of the sophisticated event.
RESULT
An upscale, memorable, and modern suite of materials that elevated the status or the organization and helped to increase gala attendance and donations.
